Dear Oo-Doodle Dairy:
Do you know this week is National Green Week?
What interesting projects are you doing in your school for this week! I want to know! Doodle tell!
I'd like to share with you what I'm doing this week. It's organic farming! I'm researching this story (the Olomana Organic Farm located in Hawaii), and hope to go for a visit in the farm soon! What a cool idea to have a self-sustaining environment where the entire garden is a perfect integration of different ecosystems. In other words, the waste material of one group becomes food for another group, and so on. The circle of life works in sync to grow food and to support the people who live on the land!
I'd like to pet the ducks when I go to the farm! And I'd be really interested in checking out the worm bin, also!
They must have a pretty big bin considering the size of the farm! I can't wait!
Until then, stay green!
BTW, here's a link for you to read about the Olomana Garden, check it out!
